1. Chateau de Chillon

Located in the heart of the Swiss Riviera, on the banks of Lake Geneva is the Chillon Castle. It is about 4 century old and is a water fortress that served as the seat of the wealthy Counts of Savoy. 2. Swiss National Park

Switzerland’s only National Park is a sight to behold. The medieval city of Bern is Switzerland’s capital. Once you step on its narrow cobble-stoned streets, history sings in every corner especially in its Old Town which has been named a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Archaic towers loom over Bern’s sandstone facades, numerous fountains, and entrenchments while the arcades are filled with boutiques, bars, cafes and cabaret stages that are sometimes hidden within vaulted cellars. The city also boasts of a stunning botanical garden, a colorful weekly market, and access to the River Aare and the Bear Park where a family of bears (which are the city’s symbol) resides.

The oldest pass in the Western Alps and the third highest in the country of Switzerland is the Great St Bernard Pass. At the highest point in the road is the Great St Bernard Hospice where the St Bernard dogs gained their fame. 8. Rhaetian Railway

The Rhaetian Railway connects Switzerland to Italy through the mountains of Graubundun and is a remarkable site of great engineering. It is also one of the country’s most photogenic regions.
